Face Data (Identity Verification)

To promote trust and prevent impersonation, Eve may offer optional identity verification using facial recognition.

  • What We Collect:A facial image (selfie) that you voluntarily provide during verification
  • Purpose:Face data is used only to verify that your profile photo matches your identity
  • How It Is Processed:Face data is processed using Amazon Web Services (AWS Rekognition)
  • Storage:Face data is securely stored using AWS S3 infrastructure
  • Retention:Face data is retained for no longer than 7 days, after which it is permanently deleted
  • Sharing:We do not sell, rent, or use face data for advertising or profiling. Face data is only shared with AWS as a service provider for verification
  • User Choice:Providing face data is optional. Users may choose not to complete verification

Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage Data:Features used, interactions, activity frequency, and preferences
  • Device Information:IP address, device identifiers, operating system, browser type
  • Log Data:Crash reports, diagnostics, and performance data
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies:Used to improve functionality and personalize experiences

Information from Third Parties

If you connect third-party services (e.g., Google), we may receive information as permitted by those services.

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain Eve
  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Facilitate connections between users
